Products

Open Catalog → Products and choose Add Products. You can,

  • Add one product from the form — you fill in every detail yourself.
  • Clone one product from a link — paste the address of a product page from another store and Posty5 fills in the name, description, price and images for you.
  • Add up to 50 products from links in one go, with shared stock, status and tags.
  • Add products from Excel — fill a template with one row per product and upload it.
  • Import from a supplier — see the dropshipping page. This needs the Pro plan.

The form is split into tabs. Start with Basic Information — product name and SKU — and press Create draft. The other tabs unlock once the draft exists, and each tab has its own Save button.

  • Media — up to 10 images. The first is the main image; drag to reorder. Uploading image files needs a paid plan; on the free plan use image links.
  • Price — the base price, an optional compare-at price shown crossed out, and your cost per unit, which only your profit reports see. The compare-at price cannot be lower than the base price.
  • Stock — how many you have. Leave it empty if you do not track stock for this product.
  • Variants — sizes, colours and other options (see below).
  • Landing Page — optional sections for the product page, such as highlights, specifications, a video, an FAQ or a cash-on-delivery order form. On paid plans you can have AI write the page for you.
  • Purchase — where the product can be bought (see below).
  • Extra Shipping Fees — an extra fee per unit, and the parcel’s weight and size. Fill from a package profile copies the size of one of your package profiles.
  • Tags — the groups the product appears in on your storefront, up to 50.
  • SEO Information — the product’s address, its title and description in search results, the image shown when it is shared, and an option to hide it from search engines.
  • Status and Settings — Draft, Active or Hidden, the minimum and maximum a customer can order, and the sort order.

Only Active products are shown to customers. Draft and Hidden products are not shown anywhere, and their link shows a not-found page. To become Active, a product needs,

  • A name.
  • A price — unless it is sold only on external stores.
  • At least one active buy link — if it is sold on external stores.

Variants let customers choose a size, colour, material, storage or an option you name yourself. Add the values one at a time; each value can have an extra price added to the base price, its own stock and its own images. A group marked Required must be chosen before the product can be added to the cart.

To track stock for a specific combination, such as a red shirt in size M, use Add combination. Stock is taken from the combination first, then from the value, then from the product.

A product is sold out when its stock, minus the units held back from sale, reaches zero. Customers cannot order more than what is left, and there are no back orders.

  • Keep it visible, but not for sale — the product stays in your store with an Out of stock label.
  • Hide it from the store — the product disappears from lists, search and its own page until you add stock.

The store-wide choice is under Settings → Store settings → Stock and availability, and each product can override it in its Stock tab. Units held back from sale keeps that many units out of online sales.

In the Purchase tab, choose where the product can be bought, only in your store, only on external stores, or both. External buy links point to the product on stores such as Amazon, Noon, AliExpress, eBay or Etsy — up to 10 per product, each with its own button text and price.

A product sold only on external stores shows buy buttons that lead to those stores instead of Add to cart, and it never goes through your own checkout.

Paste the address of a product page from another store. Posty5 reads the name, description, price and up to 10 images, converts the price to your store currency, and creates a draft that is sold only on external stores, with a buy link back to the page you pasted.

Variants, stock, tags and SEO are not copied — add them yourself, and change the Purchase tab if you want to sell the product in your own store. Re-read from the source updates the name, description, price and images later, and keeps everything else.

  1. Choose Add products from Excel and download the template.
  2. Fill in one row per product. Name and price are required. Write options like Size,S|M|L; Color,Red|Blue, and separate tags with commas — new tags are created for you.
  3. Upload the file. The report shows how many products were imported and the reason for every row that failed.

The product list can be filtered by status, stock, product type, who ships it, tags and price, and sorted by your own manual order. To delete a product, open it and delete it from the form. A deleted product cannot be restored.
