Which social media platforms are supported?
Section titled “Which social media platforms are supported?”We support YouTube (Shorts with full channel management), Facebook Pages (business pages only), Instagram (Reels via Facebook-linked business accounts), and TikTok (creator/business accounts).
Do I need separate accounts for each platform?
Section titled “Do I need separate accounts for each platform?”Yes, you need active accounts on each platform you want to post to. Connect these accounts using OAuth authentication.
Can I publish to only some platforms in my workspace?
Section titled “Can I publish to only some platforms in my workspace?”Yes! When creating a publishing task, select which platforms to publish to. Choose any combination of connected accounts.
Can I schedule posts for later?
Section titled “Can I schedule posts for later?”Yes! You can schedule videos for specific dates and times for optimal engagement across all platforms.
Is my content stored on your servers?
Section titled “Is my content stored on your servers?”Videos are temporarily stored during upload and deleted immediately after successful distribution to all platforms. We don’t keep permanent copies.
How do I connect my social media accounts?
Section titled “How do I connect my social media accounts?”Navigate to ‘Social Media Profiles,’ select the platform, and follow OAuth authentication. You’ll be redirected to the platform to grant permissions, then back to our app.
What permissions do you need from my social media accounts?
Section titled “What permissions do you need from my social media accounts?”We only request minimum permissions, YouTube (Upload videos), Facebook (Manage pages, post content), Instagram (Publish Reels - business account required), TikTok (Post videos).
Are my login credentials stored?
Section titled “Are my login credentials stored?”No, we never see or store passwords. OAuth 2.0 provides secure access tokens without exposing credentials.
Can I disconnect accounts anytime?
Section titled “Can I disconnect accounts anytime?”Yes, you can disconnect any account from the ‘Social Media Profiles’ page. This revokes our access immediately.
What happens if my access token expires?
Section titled “What happens if my access token expires?”You’ll receive an ‘invalid access token’ error. Simply re-authenticate the account to refresh the token.
Can I connect multiple accounts from the same platform?
Section titled “Can I connect multiple accounts from the same platform?”Yes! Connect multiple YouTube channels, Facebook pages, Instagram accounts, and TikTok profiles.
Why can’t I connect my Instagram account directly?
Section titled “Why can’t I connect my Instagram account directly?”Instagram requires business accounts linked to Facebook Pages for API access. Connect your Facebook Page first, then Instagram becomes available.
My Facebook/Instagram connection expired. What should I do?
Section titled “My Facebook/Instagram connection expired. What should I do?”Go to Profiles → Select expired profile → Click ‘Reconnect’ and re-authorize through Facebook to refresh tokens.
What is an Organization?
Section titled “What is an Organization?”A workspace where you group multiple social media accounts. Ideal for agencies managing client accounts or businesses with multiple brands.
How many organizations can I create?
Section titled “How many organizations can I create?”All subscription plans allow unlimited organizations.
Can I add team members to my organization?
Section titled “Can I add team members to my organization?”Team collaboration features are planned for future releases. Currently, organizations are single-owner managed.
What happens if I delete an organization?
Section titled “What happens if I delete an organization?”Deleting disconnects all associated social media profiles. Past tasks remain in history but can’t be retried.
Can I use the same profile in multiple Organizations?
Section titled “Can I use the same profile in multiple Organizations?”Yes! Reuse connected profiles across multiple organizations. Helpful for managing the same brand across different campaigns.
Can I remove a profile from an Organization?
Section titled “Can I remove a profile from an Organization?”Yes, go to Organization Details and click ‘Disconnect’ next to the profile. This won’t delete the profile, it only removes it from that organization.
What video formats are supported?
Section titled “What video formats are supported?”We support all common formats including MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WMV, FLV, and WebM. We recommend MP4 with H.264 encoding for best compatibility.
What is the maximum video file size?
Section titled “What is the maximum video file size?”It varies by platform, YouTube (Up to 256 GB or 12 hours), Facebook (Up to 10 GB), Instagram (Up to 650 MB, Reels under 90 seconds), TikTok (Up to 4 GB).
What’s the best video resolution and aspect ratio?
Section titled “What’s the best video resolution and aspect ratio?”For short-form content, Resolution 1080x1920 (Full HD vertical), Aspect ratio 9,16 (vertical), Frame rate 30fps or 60fps.
Can I upload videos from a URL?
Section titled “Can I upload videos from a URL?”Yes! Provide a direct video URL and our system will download and upload it to your accounts. Supported sources include direct links, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
Can I customize content for each platform?
Section titled “Can I customize content for each platform?”Yes! Set different titles, descriptions, captions, and settings for each platform when creating a posting task.
What happens if one platform fails but others succeed?
Section titled “What happens if one platform fails but others succeed?”Each platform processes independently. If YouTube succeeds but TikTok fails, the task shows partial success. Retry only failed platforms.
How long does posting take?
Section titled “How long does posting take?”Varies by video size, Small (< 100 MB) take 2-5 mins, Medium (100-500 MB) take 5-15 mins, Large (> 500 MB) take 15-30+ mins.
Can I edit a video after it has been posted?
Section titled “Can I edit a video after it has been posted?”No. Once posted, you must edit directly on the platform. Alternatively, delete the task and create a new one with updated settings.
Can I upload the same video to multiple organizations?
Section titled “Can I upload the same video to multiple organizations?”Yes, but you must create separate upload tasks for each organization. There is no direct ‘duplicate’ feature, but you can reuse the same video files.
Can I repurpose content from one platform to another?
Section titled “Can I repurpose content from one platform to another?”Absolutely! Use ‘Video Source’ options to import content from TikTok, YouTube, or Facebook URLs and republish them to other platforms.
Do you support video editing?
Section titled “Do you support video editing?”Currently, we do not have built-in editing. Please upload finalized, edited videos. We recommend using external editing software before uploading.
How does AI content generation work?
Section titled “How does AI content generation work?”AI analyzes your video description and selected tone, then generates platform-optimized captions, titles, descriptions, and hashtags tailored to each platform’s best practices.
Can I edit AI-generated content?
Section titled “Can I edit AI-generated content?”Yes! AI content is a starting point. Review, edit, and personalize all generated content before publishing.
What tones are available for AI generation?
Section titled “What tones are available for AI generation?”Available tones, Professional, Casual, Humorous, Inspirational, Educational, and Promotional.
Does AI generation cost extra?
Section titled “Does AI generation cost extra?”AI features depend on your subscription plan. Please check your plan details for more information.
What languages does the AI support?
Section titled “What languages does the AI support?”Currently, it primarily supports English. Support for additional languages may vary by plan.
Why do I need an Instagram Business account linked to Facebook?
Section titled “Why do I need an Instagram Business account linked to Facebook?”Instagram’s API only allows automated posting to business accounts linked to Facebook Pages. Personal accounts are not supported for automation.
Can I post to my Instagram feed and stories at the same time?
Section titled “Can I post to my Instagram feed and stories at the same time?”Yes, enable ‘Post to both feed and story’ option when creating tasks.
Why can’t I select certain Facebook pages?
Section titled “Why can’t I select certain Facebook pages?”Only post to pages where you have admin or editor permissions. Personal profiles cannot be used.
Does TikTok require special verification?
Section titled “Does TikTok require special verification?”TikTok uses webhook verification to confirm post success. The system handles this automatically—no action needed.
Can I set YouTube videos as unlisted or private?
Section titled “Can I set YouTube videos as unlisted or private?”Yes! Set the privacy level to Public, Unlisted, or Private when creating YouTube tasks.
Can I add custom thumbnails to YouTube videos?
Section titled “Can I add custom thumbnails to YouTube videos?”Yes, upload a custom thumbnail when creating your YouTube task. Recommended size, 1080x1920 pixels.
Can I monetize YouTube videos uploaded through this platform?
Section titled “Can I monetize YouTube videos uploaded through this platform?”Yes, as long as your YouTube channel is monetized and meets requirements. Uploads don’t affect monetization.
Can I control TikTok privacy settings?
Section titled “Can I control TikTok privacy settings?”Yes! Set privacy to Public (Anyone can see), Private (Only you), or Friends (Only friends). Also disable duets, stitches, and comments.
What YouTube categories are available?
Section titled “What YouTube categories are available?”Available categories include, Film & Animation, Autos & Vehicles, Music, Pets & Animals, Sports, Gaming, People & Blogs, Comedy, Entertainment, News & Politics, How-to & Style, Education, Science & Technology, Nonprofits & Activism, and more.
Can I set videos as ‘Made for Kids’ on YouTube?
Section titled “Can I set videos as ‘Made for Kids’ on YouTube?”Yes, enable the ‘Made for Kids’ option when creating a YouTube task. This is required by COPPA regulations.
Can I add multiple language titles and descriptions to YouTube?
Section titled “Can I add multiple language titles and descriptions to YouTube?”Yes! YouTube supports localization. You can add translated titles and descriptions for various languages (English, Spanish, Arabic, French, etc.).
Can I schedule posts for different times on different platforms?
Section titled “Can I schedule posts for different times on different platforms?”Currently, scheduling publishes to all selected platforms at the same time. To use different timings, please create separate tasks.
Can I cancel or reschedule a scheduled post?
Section titled “Can I cancel or reschedule a scheduled post?”Yes, you can edit or cancel scheduled tasks before they are executed. Go to Task Status → Select the task → Click ‘Edit’ or ‘Cancel’.
Will I be notified when my content is published?
Section titled “Will I be notified when my content is published?”Yes, you will receive email notifications for successful posts, platform errors, or if a task requires manual maintenance.
Can I publish to specific platforms only?
Section titled “Can I publish to specific platforms only?”Yes! When creating a task, simply select your desired combination of connected profiles and platforms.
What do the different task statuses mean?
Section titled “What do the different task statuses mean?”Statuses include, Pending (queued), Processing (uploading), Downloading Video (from URL), Transcoding (platform processing), Done (success), Error (failed), Rejected by Platform, Needs Maintenance (manual review), Canceled (stopped), and Invalid Video URL.
How do I know if my video was posted successfully?
Section titled “How do I know if my video was posted successfully?”Check the task status page. Each platform will show a ‘Done’ status with a green checkmark upon success. You will also receive a notification.
What should I do if a post fails?
Section titled “What should I do if a post fails?”Check the error message, verify your account connection, ensure the video meets requirements, and check your internet. Click ‘Retry’ for failed platforms or contact support if the issue persists.
Can I see the history of all my posts?
Section titled “Can I see the history of all my posts?”Yes, the task list shows all past uploads with status, timestamps, and platform-specific results.
What does ‘needsMaintenance’ status mean?
Section titled “What does ‘needsMaintenance’ status mean?”This status indicates a task requires manual review. Common causes include platform policy violations, account restrictions, unusual activity flags, API changes, or persistent network issues.
How does status history work?
Section titled “How does status history work?”Every status change is logged with the status name, timestamp, error message (if applicable), and platform-specific details. It tracks the complete task lifecycle for diagnostics.
Why is my video stuck in ‘processing’ status?
Section titled “Why is my video stuck in ‘processing’ status?”Possible reasons include, large file size, platform processing delays, network connectivity issues, or high server load. If stuck for more than 30 minutes, please contact support.
What does ‘Invalid video URL’ mean?
Section titled “What does ‘Invalid video URL’ mean?”The video URL is not publicly accessible, expired, deleted, requires authentication, is blocked by the platform, incorrectly formatted, or has geo-restrictions.
Why did I get a ‘Rate limit exceeded’ error?
Section titled “Why did I get a ‘Rate limit exceeded’ error?”Platforms limit the number of posts in a short time. Wait 15-30 minutes and retry, or spread out your scheduled posts.
Can I cancel a task that is processing?
Section titled “Can I cancel a task that is processing?”Canceling processing tasks is currently unavailable. This feature is planned for future updates.
What happens if my video violates platform policies?
Section titled “What happens if my video violates platform policies?”While Posty5 uploads the content, platforms apply their own rules. Violations may lead to content removal or account suspension. Please ensure full compliance.
Why is my Instagram post failing?
Section titled “Why is my Instagram post failing?”Common issues, Not using a business account, Facebook Page not linked, video exceeds 90 seconds, invalid aspect ratio, account restrictions, or music copyright issues.
Why did my upload fail?
Section titled “Why did my upload fail?”Common reasons, Invalid access token, unsupported video format, file size exceeds limits, network timeout, platform API errors, or content policy violations.
I’m getting a ‘Permission Denied’ error. What’s wrong?
Section titled “I’m getting a ‘Permission Denied’ error. What’s wrong?”This usually means, Access token expired, insufficient permissions, account suspended, or profile disconnected. Please re-authenticate the account.
Can I republish a failed upload?
Section titled “Can I republish a failed upload?”Yes! From the Task Status page, you can retry failed platforms without affecting successful ones. Just click ‘Retry’ on the failed platform card.
Who can access my videos and accounts?
Section titled “Who can access my videos and accounts?”Only you have access. Staff cannot access content except when providing support (and only with your explicit permission).
Is my data encrypted?
Section titled “Is my data encrypted?”Yes, all transmissions use SSL/TLS encryption. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest in our database.
Do you share data with third parties?
Section titled “Do you share data with third parties?”No, we never share account information or video content. We only interact with social media platforms via official APIs.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
Section titled “What happens to my data if I delete my account?”All data (connected accounts, upload history, organizations) is permanently deleted within 30 days.
Are you GDPR compliant?
Section titled “Are you GDPR compliant?”Yes, fully GDPR compliant. You have the right to access, modify, or delete your data anytime.
How secure are OAuth tokens?
Section titled “How secure are OAuth tokens?”OAuth tokens are, Encrypted at rest, transmitted over HTTPS, never exposed in URLs, automatically refreshed, and revocable anytime.
Can I use the same video source for multiple tasks?
Section titled “Can I use the same video source for multiple tasks?”Yes! Reuse video URLs or upload the same file multiple times with different settings.
What is the ‘updateLatestMedia’ feature?
Section titled “What is the ‘updateLatestMedia’ feature?”It allows tasks to automatically fetch and post the latest video from a connected account (e.g., YouTube or TikTok).
Can I extract videos from other platforms?
Section titled “Can I extract videos from other platforms?”Yes! Provide URLs from YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Facebook Reels, or Instagram Reels. The system downloads and reposts them to your selected platforms.
What video sources are supported?
Section titled “What video sources are supported?”Supported sources, Direct video file upload, Direct video URL (MP4, MOV, etc.), YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram video URLs.
What browsers are supported?
Section titled “What browsers are supported?”Modern browsers including, Chrome (latest), Firefox (latest), Safari (latest), Edge (latest). Best experience on Chrome.
Is there a mobile app?
Section titled “Is there a mobile app?”Currently web-based, optimized for desktop. Mobile app in development.
Can I use the platform API for automation?
Section titled “Can I use the platform API for automation?”API access is available for enterprise plans. It provides REST APIs to create upload tasks, check task status, manage organizations, and connect or disconnect profiles.
What are webhooks used for?
Section titled “What are webhooks used for?”Webhooks are used for TikTok integration. When TikTok completes video processing, it sends a webhook notification to confirm success and provide the video URL.
Can I integrate Posty5 with my own application?
Section titled “Can I integrate Posty5 with my own application?”Yes! You can use our REST API to integrate Posty5 into your application. You will need an API key from your dashboard.
Is there a bulk upload feature?
Section titled “Is there a bulk upload feature?”Bulk upload is available on higher-tier plans. Upload and schedule multiple videos at once using CSV import.
Can I integrate with CMS or workflow tools?
Section titled “Can I integrate with CMS or workflow tools?”Yes, through API (enterprise plans) or via Zapier/webhook integrations (business plans and above).
How do I connect my X (Twitter) account?
Section titled “How do I connect my X (Twitter) account?”Connect your X account using OAuth 2.0 — the same secure method used by other platforms. Go to Connected Accounts, choose X (Twitter), and grant posting permissions.
What are the video requirements for X?
Section titled “What are the video requirements for X?”X supports videos up to 140 seconds, max 512 MB, in MP4 format with H.264 encoding. Make sure your video meets these specs before publishing.
Can I post to X and other platforms at the same time?
Section titled “Can I post to X and other platforms at the same time?”Yes! Use workspace multi-platform publishing to post to X, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram at the same time with a single submission.
What does the Canceled status mean?
Section titled “What does the Canceled status mean?”Yes. You can create a creator hub page to share your social profiles, important links, and content updates from one simple page.
How can I check the status of my post?
Section titled “How can I check the status of my post?”Yes. You can publish video posts to multiple connected social media accounts from one place, while managing status, errors, and updates in your dashboard.
