Connect another assistant

You need your MCP URL first. Get your MCP URL

Any assistant that can add a remote MCP server over HTTP (Streamable HTTP) can use your MCP URL. Add it as a custom server or connector, with no extra authentication.

https://mcp.posty5.com/t/YOUR-TOKEN/mcp

Add this to Windsurf’s MCP configuration.

{
"mcpServers": {
"posty5": {
"serverUrl": "https://mcp.posty5.com/t/YOUR-TOKEN/mcp"
}
}
}

Add this to the Gemini CLI settings file. ~/.gemini/settings.json

{
"mcpServers": {
"posty5": {
"httpUrl": "https://mcp.posty5.com/t/YOUR-TOKEN/mcp"
}
}
}

  1. Add an MCP Client Tool to your AI Agent node.

  2. Paste your MCP URL as the endpoint, choose HTTP Streamable as the transport, and leave authentication off.

To call Posty5 from a fixed workflow step rather than through an agent, use the Posty5 n8n nodes instead. n8n-nodes

The MCP Inspector is the protocol’s own test client. Use it to see exactly which tools your URL offers.

  1. Run the command below in a terminal.

    Terminal window
    npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector
  2. In the Inspector, choose the Streamable HTTP transport.

  3. Paste your MCP URL into the URL field, choose Connect, then List Tools.

For an assistant that starts MCP servers on your computer, run Posty5’s package instead of using a URL. It needs Node.js 20 or later and an API key. API keys and authentication
