n8n Posty5 Trigger

The Posty5 Trigger node is built on Posty5 webhooks. It registers its own endpoint when the workflow is activated and checks every signature, so you never copy an address or a secret.

  • Install the Posty5 community node in n8n.
  • Add your Posty5 API key as a Posty5 API credential.
  • n8n must be reachable over public HTTPS. n8n Cloud is, and a self-hosted n8n needs WEBHOOK_URL set to a public HTTPS address, for example through a tunnel.
Section titled “Recipe, a Slack message when a link is clicked”
  1. Create a workflow and add the Posty5 Trigger node.

  2. Choose your Posty5 credential and the Short Link Visited event.

  3. Under Links, keep all your links or pick specific short links by ID.

  4. Add a Slack node after it, set to send a message to a channel.

  5. Write the message with expressions from the event, as in the example below.

  6. Activate the workflow.

Option
EventsThe events that start the workflow.
LinksAll your links and QR codes, specific short links, or specific QR codes.
DeliveryEach event at once, or one batch per minute, five minutes or hour.
Include Bot VisitsWhether visits recognised as bots also start the workflow. Off by default.
MilestonesThe visit or scan counts that fire the milestone events, up to 10 numbers separated by commas.
Split Batches Into ItemsWith batches, one item per event (on, the default) or one item holding the whole batch (off).
  • While you test the workflow, n8n listens on its test address. Use Send test on the endpoint in the Posty5 dashboard to fire a webhook.test event.
  • Activating the workflow creates a webhook endpoint in your Posty5 account. It appears in Account settings, Webhooks, like any other.
  • Deactivating the workflow deletes that endpoint, so Posty5 stops sending events to it.
