Dropshipping

The full dropshipping guide

Open Suppliers and connect one of the supported suppliers,

  • CJdropshipping — paste the API key from your CJ account. Orders are paid from your CJ balance, which is shown in Posty5.
  • BigBuy — paste the API key. You browse up to three categories you choose. Creating an order at BigBuy pays for it from your BigBuy wallet straight away, and BigBuy ships from Spain to Europe only.
  • AliExpress — sign in to AliExpress; no key is needed. An order may be split into one order per seller.

A new connection starts switched off, with manual ordering. Your keys are checked with the supplier and stored encrypted. Disconnecting deletes the keys; products you imported stay, and are then treated as shipped by you.

Under Settings → Dropshipping, the default price rule turns the supplier’s cost into your price, add a percentage, add a fixed amount, or aim for a margin. You can round prices to a whole number or to .99 or .95. The default adds 40% and ends in .99.

  1. Open Import from a supplier, then search, or paste a product link.
  2. Preview the products — the price comes from the cheapest variant, and you are warned when variants cost different amounts.
  3. Choose whether to start them as Draft or Active, add tags, and import — up to 50 at a time. Each product uses credits.

For each product you choose what stays in sync with the supplier, stock (every hour), cost, price, images and description. Sync now updates it straight away.

In the supplier’s settings, choose how orders are sent, manually (you send each order yourself), submitted automatically, or submitted and paid automatically. Automatic sending happens once, when the order becomes Confirmed.

You can set limits, whether to send orders that are not paid yet, the most an order may cost at the supplier, the most that cost may be as a share of what the customer paid, and which countries orders may be sent to. On the order’s page you can also send, pay, retry, fulfil it yourself or cancel the supplier order.

Tracking numbers are picked up from the supplier every 30 minutes, and the order moves to shipped and delivered by itself. Cancelling the store order also withdraws the supplier order.

When a supplier order stops — low supplier balance, an item no longer available, an address the supplier cannot ship to, a cost above your limit, or a changed supplier price — it appears on the Needs attention page with the reason. Fix the cause and press Retry. Temporary failures are retried automatically.
