Customers
Where customers come from
Section titled “Where customers come from”You never add customers yourself. A customer record is created the first time someone orders — from your storefront or an order you add by hand — and later orders from the same account, email or phone are added to it.
Customers can buy as guests by default. To require an account, turn off Allow guest checkout under Settings → Orders — shoppers then sign in with a Posty5 account before checking out. A guest who later signs in with the same email is linked to their earlier orders.
The customer list and profile
Section titled “The customer list and profile”Customers → Customers lists everyone who ordered, with their phone, email, number of orders, total spent and last order. Search by name, phone or email, or show only customers with or without an account.
- Information — orders with your store, amount spent, first and last order, and their Posty5 account if they have one.
- Addresses — the addresses their orders were delivered to, with their default one marked.
- Orders — all their orders, which you can export.
Contact messages
Section titled “Contact messages”Anyone can write to you from your store’s Contact page, with or without an account. Messages arrive under Customers → Contact messages. Posty5 does not notify you or reply for you, so check this page regularly and answer with Reply by email. Use the status and private notes to keep track.
Data deletion requests
Section titled “Data deletion requests”A customer can ask your store to delete their data from their account on your storefront. Requests appear under Customers → Data requests, with a counter while any wait for you. Choose Erase to delete their data — this cannot be undone — or Reject.
