What you need
Section titled “What you need”- A CJdropshipping account.
- An API key. In My CJ, open Apps, then Install App, then API. On the API page, press “Add API”, choose the type API Key and copy the key.
- Money in your CJ balance. Orders are paid from it, and you top it up in My CJ, never through Posty5.
What it can do
Section titled “What it can do”- Search the CJ catalogue, or paste a CJ product link or id.
- Keep stock and cost in sync every hour.
- Quote freight, which gives the product its delivery estimate.
- Create orders, pay them from your CJ balance, and withdraw them before they are confirmed.
- Show your CJ balance in Posty5.
- Bring in status and tracking numbers, from CJ’s notifications and regular checks.
Connect it
Section titled “Connect it”Open “Suppliers”, press “Connect a supplier”, choose CJdropshipping, paste the API key and save.
Optional settings — “Default shipping line”, the CJ shipping line your orders use, spelt exactly as CJ names it, for example CJPacket Ordinary. “Ship from warehouse”, left empty to ship from China. Your EU VAT (IOSS) choice and tax ID if you sell to Europe.
CJ gives Posty5 a sign-in token that lasts 180 days, and Posty5 renews it by itself before it runs out. You never paste the key again.
CJ switches off API access for an account with no orders for 30 days. If a connection that worked stops, reactivate API access on CJ’s API page, then press “Test”.
Freight and the delivery fee
Section titled “Freight and the delivery fee”CJ quotes a freight cost and a delivery time for each route. The delivery time becomes the product’s delivery estimate. Your shopper still pays your store’s one delivery fee. To cover CJ’s freight, turn on “Include the estimated shipping cost” in your price rule.
Paying the supplier
Section titled “Paying the supplier”With “Submit and pay automatically”, Posty5 confirms the order at CJ and pays it from your balance. It reads the order first, so an order already paid is never paid again. If the balance is too low, the order waits with the reason “Your supplier balance is too low”. Top up in My CJ, then press “Retry”.
A CJ order can be withdrawn from Posty5 only before it is confirmed. After that, cancelling goes through a dispute in My CJ.
Status and tracking
Section titled “Status and tracking”The supplier order card shows CJ’s own status beside Posty5’s. When CJ sends a notification, Posty5 reads the order from CJ before changing anything, so a notification alone never moves an order. Without notifications, open orders are checked about every 30 minutes. A status CJ has not documented never marks an order as failed.
Test mode
Section titled “Test mode”CJ has a sandbox. A test connection sends orders there, where they are never charged to your balance and never shipped, so you can follow an order from sending to payment safely. Switch to live for real orders.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”- CJ allows about one request per second on a free account, and a daily quota for catalogue searches. A large import may slow down, while orders and payments keep working.
- CJ prices and costs are in US dollars. Posty5 converts them to your store’s currency.
