The local package
Section titled “The local package”For an assistant that starts MCP servers on your computer, run Posty5’s package instead of using a URL. It needs Node.js 20 or later and an API key. API keys and authentication
{ "mcpServers": { "posty5": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "@posty5/mcp"], "env": { "POSTY5_API_KEY": "YOUR_API_KEY", "POSTY5_MCP_TOOLSETS": "short-links,qr-codes", "POSTY5_MCP_ACCESS": "write" } } }}| Variable | Required | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
POSTY5_API_KEY | Yes | The API key every call uses. It is never printed. |
POSTY5_MCP_TOOLSETS | No | The tool groups, separated by commas. By default, account, short-links, qr-codes, html-hosting and social-publisher. |
